- Whether his Department and/or entities have made any donations to Ukraine from the start of the sixth administration to date; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether his Department and/or entities run a project called the Food Garden Project for Ukraine; if so, (a) what are the relevant details and (b) how much is allocated to the project?
Answer Body:
- Since the start of the sixth administration no donation was made to Ukraine. The reason being that it is not the policy nor practice of the Western Cape Department of Agriculture to make donations to foreign states.
(2) (a) Neither the Western Cape Department of Agriculture, nor any of its entities, has instituted a project called the Food Garden Project for Ukraine. The Department is also not aware whether any of the entities utilised by the Department to assist with the rollout of food gardens have a project with that title.
(b) No funds were allocated to a project of this nature.
