With regard to the Rusthof Old-age Home in Paarl:
Whether her Department has any plans to relocate the facility to a different location given the current situation; if so, what are the relevant details?
The Department is not aware that Rusthof Old Age Home wants to relocate completely from their current premises. The Department is only aware that the Home is looking for additional space to expand their current services. It is also not within the Departments mandate to relocate Independent Non-Profit Organisations from their premises and only the Board of the NPO can make such a decision. If the Board informs the Department of their intent by means of their formal recorded Board resolutions, then the Department can assist as facilitator to obtain information from the Department of Infrastructure with regards to vacant unutilized government property in that area that possibly could meet the Homes requirements.
