With regard to the outages of the SAPS financial system from 1 April to 24 April 2023:
- (i) How many SAPS stations were affected by this outage and (ii) what was the reason for this outage in service and (b) how many (i) firearm competency and licence applications and (ii) police clearance applications were disrupted as a result of this outage?

18. (a)(i) 151 stations for the period 31 March 2023 to 20 April 2023.
(a)(ii) The SAPS financial system was closed to enable the financial year-end closure procedures for the department to meet the reporting requirements stipulated in sections 32 and 40 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999).
(b)(i) 0: manual processes were in police to ensure that services delivery was not disrupted.
