(a) What is the update with regard to the Province’s broadband rollout, (b) what is the detailed updated list of all Wi-Fi hotspots in the province, including the (i) ward numbers and (ii) local municipalities?
Answer Body:
- A total of 1914 WCG Sites are connected on the broadband network. 1715 sites have connectivity speeds of at least 1Gbps; 157 sites are at 100Mbps and 42 sites are at 10Mbps. Of these sites, 1558 have public Wi-Fi access.
- (i)(ii) Refer to the attached summary excel file of public Wi-Fi sites including the ward numbers and local municipalities.
