The telephone lines of the following police stations were affected by the factors indicated, and have been restored:
Grassy Park - Cable theft
Vredendal - Flooding
Doringbaai - Flooding
Athlone - Old PABX system (has been upgraded to CISCO)
Kuils River - Old PABX system (has been upgraded to CISCO)
Fish Hoek - Old PABX system (has been upgraded to CISCO)
Gugulethu - Cable theft
Brackenfell - Faulty Telkom line
Mbekweni - Faulty Telkom line
Macassar - Faulty Telkom line
Oudsthoorn - Faulty Telephone line
In the event of a faulty CSC telephone number (main fine) being reported to the Provincial Office, the number is immediately diverted to a designated landline or cell phone number to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
