Whether his Department provides professional counselling to a witness or witnesses of killings; if not, why not; if so, (a) what are the relevant details, (b) where and (c) how do they receive counselling?
Answer Body:
1. (a) The Department do not have a mandate to provide counselling to witnesses of killings. The Department of Social Development, through their Victim Support Rooms at the SAPS stations, provides counselling to victims affected by crime.
