With regard to the Western Cape Sport Academy (WECSA):
- (a) What was the total budget for the Academy in (i) 2019, (ii) 2020, (iii) 2021, (iv) 2022, (v) 2023 and (vi) 2024 and (b) how much was given to the Academy each year;
- (a) what are the details of the management positions at the WECSA and (b)(i) when were the posts advertised, (ii) what are the details of all the individuals who (aa) applied and (bb) were shortlisted for each of these positions, (iii) what were the scoring received by the shortlisted candidates and (iv) when did the successful incumbents commence duty?

As WECSA is an independent body that functions autonomous to the Department and as a result the Department is not able to respond on what the total budget of WECSA is. 1.(2) WECSA secures funding associated with the Conditional Grant from DCAS through the Western Cape Sport Confederation for executing its activities in accordance with the South African Sports Academies Strategic Framework and Policy Guidelines of 2013, as outlined by SASCOC. This framework delineates the essential, needs-based services to be delivered and as a result WECSA operates as an independent, autonomous non-profit organization. While DCAS is a stakeholder in WECSA, it holds no operational or structural responsibility. For precise, firsthand information, it is advisable to approach WECSA directly.
