- (a) What is the (i) age, (ii) gender, (iii) race, (iv) remuneration and (v) qualifications of all the persons currently employed in his office, (b) what are the stipulated (i) qualifications and (ii) requirements for each post in his office and (c) what is the detailed description of the necessary (i) qualifications, (ii) experience and (iii) other criteria for each position;
- whether he is or was in any way related to any of the employees in his office; if so, what are the relevant details?
(1) (a)(i)(ii)(iii)(v)(b)(i)(ii)(c)(i)(ii)(ii) Please find in the attached document (Table: WCMD) a breakdown of the positions and details requested above, as compiled by the Branch: People Management in the Department of the Premier.
The appointment of staff in the Offices of Provincial Ministers in the Western Cape Government is made in terms of regulation 66 of the Public Service Regulations, 2016, read in conjunction with Chapter 7 of the Provincial Ministerial Handbook.
Secondments of staff to the Offices of Provincial Ministers is done in terms of section 15 of the Public Service Act,1994, read in conjunction with Chapter 7, paragraph 1.4 of the Provincial Ministerial Handbook.
The creation of the additional post of Community Outreach Officer (SL 11) on the establishment of the Office of the Provincial Minister is based on proven needs as contemplated in Chapter 7, paragraph 1.5 of the Provincial Ministerial Handbook.
