With regard to the Harry Giddey Park:

What are the details regarding the findings or current status of the investigation ordered by the Mossel Bay Municipality into the events surrounding the transfer and the condition of animals, including tortoises, from the Harry Giddey Park to the Garden Route SPCA?

Answer Body: 

CapeNature does not have the findings or current status of the investigation. During the meeting on Friday, 15 November 2024, the Director: Community Services informed CapeNature that an internal investigation is taking place. The future use of the Harry Giddey Park was also discussed and CapeNature offered to supply inputs and advice once the Municipality has decided on the future use of the park.

There are currently no wild animals in captivity at the park.
