- (a) How many agri-parks have been established by his Department in the province, (b) for each agri-park, (i) what are the full address details, (ii) when was it established, (iii) how much has been spent on it, (iv) how many people are currently employed and (v) what is the ideal employment capacity;
- whether all the agri-parks are operational; if not, what are the reasons for them not being operational; if so, what specific products or goods are being processed at each?
Answer Body:
It must be noted that the mandate for the establishment of agri-parks is with the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD). This enquiry was sent to the Provincial Shared Service Centre (PSSC) of the DALRRD office in Cape Town on 18 November 2024 for a response. However, no written response was submitted before the deadline and therefore this question must be directed to the Director General of DALRRD.
