- Whether his Department is party to the investigation into the recent oil spill along the Kommetjie and Hout Bay coastline that had an impact on marine life, including many endangered African penguins; if so, what are the relevant details; (2) whether his Department has been in communication with the national Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment; if so, what was the outcome?

- CapeNature has not been involved in the investigation related to the recent oil spill along the Kommetjie and Hout Bay coastline. The Table Mountain National Park, Marine Protected Area and African penguin colony at Boulders is managed by SANParks, and they would be able to provide detail of response to the oil spill and impact on marine life and African penguin.
- CapeNature has not been in communication with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment. SANParks as the management authority for the Table Mountain National Park, Marine Protected Area and Boulders African penguin colony may however have.
