Standing Committee on Education

  1. Briefing by the Western Cape Education Department on the following:
  1. Truancy and absenteeism of leaners and mechanism that are in place to combat this. In additional to this the Department should include the policies and processes to deal with runaway leaners (street children)
  2. Technical Schools across the Western Cape, the briefing should give an extensive overview of these schools and whether there is a need to establish more schools.
