Public hearings on Commissioner for Children Bill
The Western Cape Provincial Parliament’s Standing Committee on the Premier and Constitutional Matters will conduct public hearings focusing on the Western Cape Commissioner for Children Bill [B 4–2018] as part of its constitutional responsibilities.
The aim of the Bill is to provide for the appointment of a Commissioner for Children in the Western Cape; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.

Interested persons and organisations are invited to attend and to participate in the public hearings.
Written submissions and requests to make verbal presentations on such submissions must be directed to the standing committee’s coordinator, Ms Waseemah Achmat on Tel 021 487 1657 or via email wachmat@wcpp.gov.za. Requests to make verbal presentations at the scheduled public hearings must be submitted to the Committee Coordinator at least one day before the scheduled public hearing. Written submissions must be received by Thursday, 15 November 2018.
