11:00-13:00 – Visit a Human Settlements S1 Housing Project and briefing by the Department/Municipality of Beaufort West on its integrated housing business plans

14:15 – 16:00- Briefing by the Central Karoo District Municipality and Beaufort West Municipality on the impact of the drought on service delivery and the relief measures in place to assist communities during the drought

Depart from Beaufort West to Oudtshoorn

09:00-11:00 – Briefing by the Garden Route District Municipality and Oudtshoorn Municipality on the impact of the drought on service delivery and the relief measures in place to assist communities during the drought.

11:15-13:00-

Visit to Oudtshoorn Airport

• Tour of facility
• Briefing by Department of Economic Development and Tourism on the Critical Tourism Infrastructure project
• Briefing by the Department of Economic Development and Tourism on the flight figures for the airport so far
• Briefing on the flight school training programme

14:45- 16:30 –

Oversight visit to the farm, Waaikraal (managed by Casidra) to:

• Gain an understanding of the impact of the drought on these farms and the farming community at large;
• Understand the profitability and sustainability of these farms; and
• See the impact of the drought and other challenges experienced on the respective farms

09:15 - Depart for Amalienstein, Zoar

10:30-12:30 -

Oversight visit to the farm, Amalienstein, (managed by Casidra) to:

• Gain an understanding of the impact of the drought on these farms and the farming community at large;
• Understand the profitability and sustainability of these farms; and
• See the impact of the drought and other challenges experienced on the respective farms

Briefing by the Garden Route District Municipality and Kannaland Municipality on the impact of the drought on service delivery and the relief measures in place to assist communities during the drought
