WCPP employees thanked for efforts during challenging time

The Western Cape Provincial Parliament, upon a motion moved by Mr D G Mitchell, passed the following resolution on 14 May 2020:

“That the House –

notes and gives thanks to the WCPP’s procedural officers and IT support staff for their ongoing efforts to enable us to deliver a virtual, functional, and public parliament during this crucial time in history; extends gratitude to our colleagues who work patiently to make sure we are digitally connected; thanks to the WCPP personnel for their commitment during these unprecedented and challenging times; and notes that, through innovation and creativity to match the environment in which we find ourselves, the WCPP can stand proud as the only fully functional provincial legislature in the country with an open, digital operation.
