THEME: Economic Recovery, Support and Livelihoods
1. Welcome and apologies
2. *Briefing by FEDUSA on the following:
2.1 How the pandemic has affected the industry and members in both (a) a health perspective and (b)
work and livelihoods perspective;
2.2 What work the Unions are doing to support the industry and its members;
2.3 Innovations in the sector; and
2.4 Any concerns the Unions wish to raise with the Committee relating to COVID-19 and the response
to the pandemic.
3. Engagement with the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Black Business Chamber and Mitchell’s Plain Chamber of Commerce on the following:
3.1 How the pandemic has affected the industry and members in both (a) a health perspective and (b)
work and livelihoods perspective;
3.2 What work the Chambers are doing to support the industry and its members;
3.3 Innovations in the sector; and
3.4 Any concerns the Chambers wish to raise with the Committee relating to COVID-19 and the
response the pandemic.
4. Engagement with Agri Western Cape, Vinpro and the Master Builders and Allied Trades Association in the Western Cape on the following:
4.1 How the pandemic has affected the industry and members in both (a) a health perspective and (b)
work and livelihoods perspective;
4.2 What work the organisations are doing to support the industry and its members;
4.3 Innovations in the sector; and
4.4 Any concerns the organisations wish to raise with the Committee relating to COVID-19 and the
response the pandemic.
