SC on Human Settlements

1. Briefing by the Department of Human Settlements on the strategies implemented to:

•  Support women and youth in construction to ultimately be included into the mainstream;
• Encourage private partnerships and to upskill women and youth in the construction industry; and
• Create training and awareness programmes to increase the amount of women in construction and to monitor and evaluate the sessions to measure the impact of the training.

2. Briefing by Tech Q Development, and MS 3 Property and Investments on:

•  Challenges experienced to attract and retain women and youth in construction; and
• Creating an enabling environment to link woman in rural areas with professionals that can develop and support their businesses.
